Pinned Post: Daily Tips - Information

Welcome to our daily tips.

As a member signed up to receive our daily tips, you will have access to all posts published in this section of our website.

Each morning (circa 10AM) a new post will be made with tips for the upcoming races of that day.

Depending on the meetings scheduled you will receive up to 4 tips, typically 2 for any Flat racing, and 2 for any National Hunt racing.

In the cases of advanced notice of abandonment or no scheduled racing, no tips will be posted.

Tips will be highlighted under the "Flat racing" or "National Hunt racing" banners and will include the meeting, time, selection, and staking strategy.

Staking Strategy:

We currently use three selection strategies:

  1. Low Risk - these are exactly as they're described - low risk propositions.

Based on our predictive modelling we feel a "low risk" horse has the highest probability of winning its race. Low risk propositions are typically marketed with bookmakers at short odds (or odds-on), which corroborates our confidence in its chances, and will come with an appropriate staking plan.

  1. Adventurous - these are much bolder selections that have factored in more angles and often provides value prices.

Modelling for the adventurous selections incorporates additional, more volatile factors, however proposes a horse that still maintains a high probability of winning relative to that of its competition.

  1. Default - this is our default strategy that will propose the best horse on the day should there be no runners that meet the criteria of a "low risk" selection.

Staking Plan:

We offer each tip with a staking plan that corresponds to the staking strategy based on a points system. The points system makes it easier for members to apply their own personal budgets to each selection, standardise on the amount they stake per race and manage the risk of over-betting. Typically each point will represent a fraction of a member's bankroll.

E.g., A member may set their bankroll at £1000. A single point (1 pt) would typically be 1% of the bankroll which, in this case, would be a £10 stake.

Please remember, setting your staking plan against the recommended points per tip is a decision personal to you. Strong Promise Racing will not set any expectations on total bankroll, point percentages, or monetary commitments.
