Welcome to the Analyst's Angle.

As a paid member you will have access to all posts published in this section of our website.

The Analyst's Angle is a place where additional tips are provided, on an ad-hoc basis, from more traditional forms of analysis.

Traditional form studying is a predominant means of identifying horses with good chances of winning, and typically involves looking at past race performances, pedigree, and other race-related factors.

Some of the key factors that our analysts look at are outlined below:

  1. Past Performance Analysis – Examining a horse’s recent race results, finishing positions, and times.
  2. Course & Conditions Suitability – Assessing how the horse performs on different ground conditions (firm, soft, heavy), courses and their configurations, and distances.
  3. Jockey & Trainer Records – Considering the trainer’s success rate and whether the jockey has a strong record with the horse or at the course.
  4. Weight & Handicapping – Evaluating how much weight a horse carries and its impact on performance in a handicap race.
  5. Class & Competition – Checking if the horse is stepping up or down in class and how it has fared against similar competition in recent starts.
  6. Running Style & Race Pace – Identifying if the horse prefers to lead, track the pace, or come from behind, and how the race setup might suit its style.

Monitoring the markets for runners that shorten up or drift out with bookmakers can also be indicative of interest but is not recommended as a key indicator purely on its own.

Our analysts also maintain a 'notebook' of eye-catching performances and will factor these into any insights published.

Using our experience and expertise, tips will be published under the "Flat racing" and "National Hunt racing" banners and will include the meeting, time, selection, and staking strategy.

Whilst not guaranteed, it is reasonable to expect a minimum of 4 posts per month, however may be more or less depending on what catches our eye.

Staking Plan:

We offer each tip with a staking plan that corresponds to the staking strategy based on a points system. The points system makes it easier for members to apply their own personal budgets to each selection, standardise on the amount they stake per race and manage the risk of over-betting. Typically each point will represent a fraction of a member's bankroll.

E.g., A member may set their bankroll at £1000. A single point (1 pt) would typically be 1% of the bankroll which, in this case, would be a £10 stake.
Please remember, setting your own staking plan against the recommended points per tip is a decision personal to you. Strong Promise Racing will not set any expectations on total bankroll, point percentages, or monetary commitments.

Performance:

You can easily track our results and performance for all tips published by our analysts by reviewing the details published under the "Performance" heading in the Analyst's Angle section of our website.
